Le Petit Marseillais Shower Gel is an extra mild shower gel.
Well, I really need to talk about this product. Why? Because there’s a lot to say here. So let me introduce you to the story first. Last week I posted a short review of this one on Instagram. After that, I got a lot of messages and opinions.
Don’t get me wrong, I adore it when you send me messages and say your opinion. In fact, it makes me very happy. And that also gives me material for a new blog post. I gave my opinion and received a lot of messages about this brand. Keep reading and I’ll explain a little more below.

Le Petit Marseillais Shower Gel
- with a fresh, fruity-sweet fragrance
- pH-neutral, moisturizing shower gel
- further, with the White Peach and Nectarine
- gently cleanses your skin, thanks to its light foam
- for a noticeably gentle skin feeling
- above all, contains moisturizing ingredients of the plant, for soft and supple skincare
Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
The packaging looks very nice and tempting. The beautiful peach color gives a nice impression. I feel like eating peaches this month, which is why I bought this. I know I’m crazy. This is due to lack of sun. 😉
Le Petit Marseillais Shower Gel has a nice gel texture. It is more liquid than a solid gel. It’s a nice light orange color.
It smells like peach, but … not like a quality peach. At the beginning of the shower, it smelled like peach glue to me. That really surprised me.
Feeling on the skin
In short, my skin is as dry as paper after this. Amazing how much this gel has dried out my skin. So, I applied moisturizing lotion twice that day to help my skin recover. And not only that, yes, there is more. My skin started itching, and this was the first time that had happened to me. My skin itches only in winter if it is relly cold outside. I think that shows the extent to which this has dried my skin.
The scent didn’t stay on the skin at all and thank God it didn’t. I am very disappointed, I was expecting something completely different.
Now let me go back to the beginning of the post. I posted this in a shorter version on Instagram. After that, I got a lot of messages even from my sister. They all told me that this brand is great for them. And none of them have the experience I had. I only got it from one person that these products are also quite aggressive for her.
But since this is my first encounter with this brand I will give them another chance. And that decision was made even before I got the opinion of all of you. However, there are brands I have a love-hate relationship with. That means some products suit me and some don’t.
What do you think, are there brands you have a love-hate relationship with?
