Another day and another facial mask DIY recipe. This is not a recipe for some cake or mayonnaise, this is a recipe for a face mask. Are you surprised?
I tried this interesting mask for the first time this week. I was delighted when I found a recipe and I was sure that I have all the ingredients.
Thank God I had one egg left in the fridge because I was just feeling lazy and I wouldn’t go to the store. You can imagine my luck when I saw that one egg.
Honey has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, it nurtures the skin, helps skin repair damage faster has enzyme activity that helps make your skin glow, open your pores and keep your skin hydrated. Incredible bees, they are so precious to us.
Egg whites are full of protein and protein is great for nourishing the skin. Egg whites in facial mask also help reduce the appearance of your pores.
Lemons help keep skin even-toned, exfoliate dead cells, source of calcium, vitamin C, magnesium, and potassium. Although I think that smaller amounts of lemon juice should be used on the face because the skin of the face is quite sensitive, that’s just my opinion.
- 1 egg white
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tbsp honey
- mix everything
- apply to a clean face
- allow the mask to dry
- rinse well
The original recipe says 2 tsp of lemon juice however, I put one in because I was afraid it would be too much for me, and I can tell you that one tsp was enough for me. After the mask, I put on the cream I normally use.
This is a beautiful facial mask, most importantly because it`s very good for cleaning pores.
Just keep the towel close at hand as the mask is quite liquid.
One more thing – if you are allergic to any of these ingredients do not use this mask.
